Charitable Artists hosts and manages Online Art Auctions for 501(c)(3) non-profits looking for unique fundraisers.

As an artist, you are also a business. You need to make money.

Some of us are happy to donate our artwork… but hoping that someone will buy more of our artwork after a charity event isn’t a plan for financial success.

We are changing this.

Charitable Artists will be invited to participate in fundraisers without feeling like they’re just giving away their art for free with no return.

We’re working with non-profits who understand this.

We’re helping charities by reducing overhead costs associated with running in-person fundraisers (ex: catering, event rental space, etc.), and we are all sharing the costs associated with the sales from the online bidding platform.

Win-Win Fundraisers

How it works

  • You, the Charitable Artist, carefully select the artwork for the auction, set the minimum starting price, and the value.

  • You give details about the artwork, have 3 to 4 images, and describe how you will get the artwork to the winning bidder.

    • The artwork doesn’t leave your care until you deliver or ship it to the winning bidder. You may ask the winning bidder to pay for shipping.

  • The online art auction is promoted by the benefiting Charity, Charitable Artists, and participating artists.

  • The auction is held over an 8-10 day period to fuel momentum and elevate bids.

  • The winning bidder gets an artwork they love!

  • After the credit card and platform fees are deducted, the net proceeds are divided as follows:

    • The ARTIST receives 50%

    • The CHARITY receives 30%

    • Charitable Artists receives 20%

Want to offer more of your percentage to the cause? You can do that too. Say you’ll only take 40% of the net funds; the remaining 10% is applied to the charity — they’ll receive 40% of the net funds from your sold artwork. It’s up to you!

Artists may submit up to 5 works of art in any auction. Artist agrees that the artist's artwork and material does not contain defamatory or otherwise unlawful or inappropriate content and that the artist owns the rights and/or license to the art they are submitting. Art may be originals or prints. Framed or unframed.

Would you rather offer a gift certificate? We can do that too. There are lots of ways you can help support a charity with our Online Art Auctions.

What? I can make MONEY on my art at a charity auction? Yes, you can!
